Plans and limits

Every plan uses the same API. For prices, monthly conversion quotas, and SLAs, see LabelZoom pricing.

Free tier

A request without a paid plan, including one with a missing or invalid API key, gets these results:

Feature Free-tier behavior
Watermark Every output has one.
Labels in the input Only the first label converts. Every later label becomes a placeholder label. To convert any one label, set labelIndex.
data entries Every entry renders on printer-language targets.
json target, image-to-image conversion, dialect Return 403.

Image targets return one label on every plan: the first, or the one labelIndex selects. A paid plan converts every label in one request, without a watermark.

Rate limits

Section titled “Rate limits”
  • Limits apply per API key and per IP address, on every plan.
  • Every process that shares a key shares its limit, so adding workers doesn’t add throughput.
  • A 429 response includes Retry-After, in seconds. Wait that long before you retry.
  • Under heavy load, the API can return 503 with Retry-After. Handle it the same way.

Data retention

Conversion requests aren’t stored when you use a live API key that you created while your account was on Pro or above. Requests made with a test key, or with a live key created on a lower plan, are stored.

After you upgrade to Pro or above, create a new live key and use it in production.
